Encouraging news

While many of us still enjoy the experience of holding and reading a physical book, as a Society, we need to be looking for ways to introduce Thomas Merton to a generation that prefers messages limited to 140 characters (Twitter) to even e-mails, which are so 1990.

That’s why reading this story in Saturday’s New York Times gave me some encouragement.  Did you know Merton is available in e-book form? Gift him to someone you know, and encourage him or her to attend our General Meeting at Loyola in Chicago.

  1. I was excited to find this blog! I have found so much spiritual inspiration and direction through the writings of Thomas Merton. Anyone who visits my blog can see this as he is by far quoted the most! I will be coming back here often to check out your new articles.
